According to the data provision of National Meteorological Service, since early 1980’s an intense warming has begun and it is also reflected in domestic observations. In Hungary, just as other Central European countries, extremes weather events are becoming more common. As a main crop, maize (sweet corn) outstanding national global significance. Certainly, changes water supply will harmfully affect cultivability too. Water stress reduces leaf surface, therefore because less captured photosyntetically active radiation, biomass production yields be reduced. Weeds with wider tolerance range than crops may become increasingly dangerous competitors field crop their wide range, fertility strong adaptability changing climate- precipitation conditions. this research effect climate change on evapotranspiration was investigated at Agrometeorological Research Station MATE Georgikon Campus Keszthely, between 21 May 2021 1 September Thornthwaite-Mather type compensation evapotranspirometer.
